Frenchay Hospital Mortuary, South Gloucestershire/Bristol
So, back in the summer of 2014, Frenchay hospital closed and all services moved to Southmead Hospital, which is another hospital in Bristol. Whilst we've had our keen eyes on the place for months prior, no one thought it was actually doable yet. We were wrong. After blitzing the hospital, which was nearly entirely unsecured and unlocked, we turned our attention to the morgue. On the first visit, it appeared locked tight, so we left it. A week later however, it would appear this was not the case - we were in. And what we found exceeded any kind of expectations we had.
A total of five slabs, one of which was a ceramic which we are sure had been moved from the mortuary at the Bristol General Hospital.
Now, as with all gems like this that crop up nowadays, word got around and soon enough tour buses were turning up by the dozen. This soon led to the morgue, and entire hospital being tightly locked down. I'm sure there people are proud of themselves, they know who they are.
